C1 was solarizing the preview images
Hello everyone,
We were using C1 V 6.3.2 on OS 10.7.2 with a P 65+ back on a Hasselblad 503 with a standard pocket wizard.
The preview images kept coming in solarized. We tried everything. We changed out the firewire cables, re-set the P-ram, dumped the plist, restarted the computer, tried different ports, created a new session, etc. Nothing worked. Does anyone have an idea as to what could have caused this?
4 additional tidbits:
1) Only the rendering images were affected. The solarization would only last for a second but it was still inconvenient nonetheless. It did not affect the processed files (either JPEGS or TIFFS)
2) We had a 2nd computer (laptop) with the exact same set-up. When we imported the session it was fine. There was no solarization on the laptop.
3) Somehow the solarization creeped into other sessions and were affecting sessions we had shot a week earlier.
4) The problem fixed itself. The previews no longer show up solarized in either session. Very strange, huh?
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Sometimes miracle happens!
Good to know it was solved…
Did you change your OpenCL settings from auto to never (or the contrary)?
Did you change the size of the preview in the prefs?0 -
I had the exact same thing this evening with the same software versions. Annoying and distracting but it does clear so not critical. Mac Pro with dual monitors on an ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card. Seemed to be the 6.3.2 C1 software that was the only thing to have changed and therefore the likely cause. 0
