Help Pls: Problem with Card Reader
I have a multi-slot card reader that I leave plugged into my computer permanently. It is nearly always empty; without any memory card in it.
I didn't have any problem with C1 3.x, but with C1 4.x, I keep getting this Windows prompting message "Please insert card into slot E," and when I clear it, then the next one comes up "Please insert card into slot F," on and on through all the slots.
I have isolated this Windows message to C1 4.x. That is, the only time I see it is when C1 4.x is left on. Any solution please?

Cannga,
Perhaps, the slot is set up to automatically be accessed by Capture One?
Can you change the automatic run options of this device? Or can you simply deactivate the device in Device Manager until it is needed?
These built in memory card readers are a bit tricky in Windows machines as they are not treated like a PCI port or USB connection, which is ignored as empty and recognized when in use.0 -

I do not know. Is there a setting within C1 version 4 that triggers an "automatic access"?
The odd thing is that this only happens with version 4, and not C1 version 3, and never with any other programs. So I was thinking that there is some sort of setting in C1 vers. 4 that triggers this.
