It may be that you need to somehow teach Windows that Affinity Photo is an appropriate app to use, and then it may appear in the list. I can confirm that Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo and Affinity Publisher all appear on the list for me. (Also it is worth pointing out that the file format for all three is identical, with only different filename extensions.)

Hi Ian: I tried that. This is what happened. I also posted this on the Affinity Photo forum, so we'll see what happens.

I did a quick search, right-clicked on a Sony .arw image file, selected Open With, chose Affinity Photo and set it to use as default for this file type.

What happened is that Windows added a .comask extension to the file name - i.e. filename.arw.comask and then Affinity Photo told me (of course) that it couldn't open a .comask file. And Affinity Photo didn't show up on the Capture 1 list either. ☹️

I did a search and found I'm not the only one who's had this problem. This user was using Capture 1 10.1:

"Is Capture One Pro 10.1 compatible with Photoshop Elements?

Things used to work fine, but now whenever I use "Edit With" to send a photo to Photoshop so I can then send it to Silver Efex Pro it crashes so I thought I'd download the trial version of PS Elements and see if that might work as an alternative to full PS. When I open "Edit With" PS Elements is not showing up as an option.

How do I get software to show up in "Edit With?" Photoshop and ACDSee seemed to be detected automatically by Capture One without my ever having to do anything to make them appear as "Edit With" options."

I take that back. I just went to Edit/Preferences/Plugins/Open With and Affinity Photo is now part of the list.
