1: There is a sticky thread here for V4 feature requests from users. Why is it locked, and empty? May we new members not see what features have been requested?

2: There is a thread on here relating to the delay of V4. Why is it locked? I want to reply to one post in it, but I can't. This is a users forum isn't it, and the delay of V4 is a hot topic for us customers at the moment, so why lock it.

Surely this forum is an excellent vehicle for PhaseOne to hear how users (customers) feel, good or bad. Censorship to this degree is unhealthy. Sometimes you need to hear things that you'd rather not.

  1 – The User Forum was used to accept Feature Requests from customers.
  It is locked because all the feedback has been sent on and logged into the R&D database for consideration by the R&D Team.
  All Feature Requests can be submitted via Support Case with request.
  It will be replied to ( sometimes stating the feature already exists ) and then passed along to R&D.
  If you want to view requested features, you can search the Forum and find many.
  The ones that were submitted directly to the Thread for such requests are closed and gone.
  This area remains present because it will likely be used again for this purpose.
  
  2 – The Thread regarding the release of version 4.0 UpGrade is closed because the questions have been Asked and Answered.
  There is no point in them being asked repeatedly when no new information available.
  The past has shown that these types of postings need to be controlled to some degree before they get out-of-hand and defeat the purpose of this User Forum.

  This User Forum is to be positive and constructive.
  As you can see, it can become a Whiners Blog and stray off-track.
  When a Thread strays you see that there is name calling, insults, and misinterpretations.
  When this happens, I try to tiptoe the line between being Phase One Staff and my personal opinions and common sense.
  
  It is the age of software with which development is an ongoing work in progress.
  Our UpDates occur quite timely for most, but never fast enough for those that do have the need for Immediate Gratification deeply ingrained.
  
  Version 4.0 will be the first Major UpGrade of Capture One and will not under any circumstances be released to customers before it is truly ready.
  Again, most know, understand, and appreciate this… while others… well, you know.
  In another Thread you state that you Understand… so hopefully you truly do and will await this version release patiently with the majority.
  The availability of 4.0 remains 2007.
  If this information changes, it will be presented at the web site.

  Thanks Keith, and I fully understand the frustrations aired in that thread. I'm not even waiting for V4, just Pentax K10D support in the now overdue V3.7.7
  
  I don't understand why the Feature Request thread has been emptied, why not just lock it but leave the contents viewable. It's much quicker to scan one thread rather than search the whole forum.
  
  It's interesting to note that this is not the first time phase One has been criticised for later than expected delivery of software.
  
  I know it's not your fault of course and I can understand how frustrating all this must be for the forum Admin team. I do however think it is apalling that the Pentax K10D has been out now for almost 6 months, and P1 still does not have a product to support it. I wouldn't term that immediate gratification, would you?
  
  The point is, customers can't and won't wait for ever and once they jump ship, they're gone. It's difficult enough getting customers in the first place, once you lose a customer, as P1 is by the day, it's not likely you'll get them back.
  
  I'm now using Lightroom, and getting used to it.
