Practically does not work
Installed C1 v7:
1. v6 still works.
2. Cannot import MP catalog with 12,000 images. Gone work from last years?
3. Imported ONE NEF with FOUR variants. No variant is visible, nor did I find a way to see them all.
4. Defaults for image rendering are, to be kind, embarrassing: over exposure, OVER sharpening, over done. It looks much like a low end jpg from point-and-shoot, instead of a well exposed D700 NEF.
5. Add folder to catalog, no image visible. Go import images by folders? Who is going to do this for 20,000 images in 300 folders?
[SOLVED] 6. At least let me chose not to use the stupid catalog. Something like the so natural and easy to use v6 folders system.
7. Hierarchical keywords in MP lose the hierarchy in C1.
8. Purple tag in C1 is translated to pink in MP.
So:
A. Same non-functional issues like v6.
B. Same lack of integration with MP like v6.
C. If there is a catalog included, why do I have to lose the catalog structure of MP, e.g. "event" field?
D. Why is v7 a new version, or a MAJOR version?
I may be stupid or blind, but please can some one explain what is in 7 better or easier than 6?

Re # 6 - open a new session.
Like you, I find catalogs don't work. However, the "new session" brings in all my photos in file folders.
