Question about how fluid your C! nav is
Im jsut trying to figure out here what other experiences are. I find, and Ive posted it a few times here before that using C1 Pro, is very laggy, if I select a folder let say, it takes a few seconds, then begind loading thumbs, if I scroll down, it takes tiem to generate previews of thumbs, if I select a picture and the, go to the effects or profile panel, it takes a second or two to open the drop down. If I go to adjust exposure, or wb, or saturation, or any adjustment for that matter, if I grab the slider and hold it and move it, it doesnt move, and a second later it moves but jittery. Is this normal? Id think it shoudl be smooth no? in adobe lightroom, any adjustments are fast, really fast, and easily controlled. in C! I feel like its doing the herky jerky. I know lightroom works on just a preview and c1 seems to work on the actuall file so maybe thats why, but I cant breeze through c1 like i can adobe. BTW I hate adobe LR, much pleased with C1 results. Just curious if any else has this issue. My machine mac pro 20 gig ram, 2 x 2.66 ghz intel, leopard 10.5.8 C1 Pro 4.8.1. And dont tell me its a 4.8.2 thing, this has been like this since i had 4.8. Id this just the nature of the beast?

I'd always recommend to update to the latest release even if it looks like a small point release. You never know what may have been fixed. Release notes never tell the whole story.... 0 -
I had similar problems with an upgrade a few versions back. It may have been the version your on but I can't remember as improvements have been coming thick and fast with C1 recently.
C1 for me felt laggy. Adjustment sliders, changing tools and browsing captures was jumpy and I really noticed it while entering text for process name. I would type but the text would not show in C1 until a couple of seconds later.
I know for sure since trashing all the correct stuff as per Phase's uninstall procedure and upgrading to 4.8.2 (now 4.8.3) non of these issues effect my system any more.
It might be worth a try to see if using the latest version solves your problems.0 -
Very fluid, quick and stable over here, adjustments happen in real time so no I don't think your experience is normal. 0
