Problem with creating LCC Profile
Good Morning!
I`m working with Capture One 5 Pro on a Snow Leopard Mac.
My problem is, that I can not create LCC profiles.
The camera is Mamiya 645 AFD II, the back is a Mamiya ZD Back.
I have a created u number of RAW files by using the ExpoDisc in order to create LCC profiles for my Mamiya lenses.
The lens correction feature in Capture One 5 Pro works basically nicely, but I can`t select the LCC drop down menu to select "Analyse". While all the other features in the "Lens correction" can be selected (the writing is white) the LCC drop down menu stays grey an can not be selected.
I upgraded from Capture One 5 to the Pro version mainly to create LCC profiles for my lenses, and now it`s not working. It`s also a joke that it`s not possible to create a support case on the Phase One Support Website with that camera/back/software combination.....
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dennis

There was no LCC support for ZD two years ago:

Not sure what the status is now. Best to open a support case with Phase One. Don't stop if your equipment is not in the drop-down list.0 -
Thanks, I opened a support case now.
There was no ZD file support at all two years ago, but now the MEF RAW files from the Mamiya ZD Back are supported.
I did not find anything in the Phase One knowledge database saying that MEF files weren`t supported.
All the other features in the Lens Correction folder work fine with these RAW files.
But that LCC feature was more or less the only reason for me upgrading to the Pro version.
It would be a bad joke of PhaseOne if these RAW files were supported- but only with selected features...
But thanks so far for your help...0 -
Case closed.
PhaseOne support told me, LCC is not available for Mamiya ZD Back files.
Great. Really just a bad joke. 300€ out of the window- that feature was the only reason for me upgrading to the Pro version. And the fact that LCC profiles are not supported is nowhere mentioned in any document.
This is great- at first, it`s impossible to test a PhaseOne Back in Switzerland without being forced to pay 1200€ for 1 day of testing- and now this... I have to admit, that company starts to annoy me a little....0 -
I understand your disappointment but...
Considered 30-day trial? Inquire before buying if you have such a specific need or interest?0 -
The 30 day test did not work. I downloaded Capture One 5 and selected the regular non-pro version when I first started the program. And then....... it was not possible to change to the Pro version during the 30 days trial period anymore. No matter what I selected, the non-pro version always started, so it was not possible for me to test the Pro version. Phase One says about that problem: Yeah, we know.... Sorry!
Hm.....
But I do think that it should be mentioned in any document that not all features are available for all supported file types. I was looking in probably every compatibilty list and so on to check for limitations, but it`s nowhere mentioned that any limitations apply to ZD files.
I think such limitations are serious and they should be mentioned clearly in the compatibiliy list- especially when the Capture One test version is known to be faulty.
I would never ask a Mercedes dealer if a specific car is suitable for a caucasian male in his 30`s if the car is labled as "fit for human use". I expected Mercedes to inform me about limitations, such as "caucasion males can operate the car, but handbrake is not available for this special type of buyers...".0 -

You can try this to see whether you can get into Pro-trial-mode from CO5 regular:
Deactivate your current installation (from the Capture One menu if I am correct) and start the program again. You should get a welcome screen in which you can select Capture One Pro and click Try.0
