I suggest you open a case with Phase One and have sales contact you.

    Yes, I have done that.
Hopefully, capture one will put some answers on the forum clarifying their update structure.

The two prices are not comparable.

2 Capture One Pro licenses grants you 6 activations but it is still only 2 licenses meaning only two people can use those licenses at any one time.

By Contrast, the 5 user license allows simultaneous use by 5 people.

So, for $600 you can have 2 simultaneous users of V12 or for $670 you can upgrade you 5 user license and have up to 5 simultaneous users to to V12

    Wade,

    Thanks for the clarification.

So, as I have in the past, I can install C1 12 on three computers, but I can only run one instance of the program at a time.

Since I'm the only one who uses the program (don't need multiple users) and I can install it on 3 machines, buying a new copy of C1 12 for $300 would be a better deal for me.

    Thanks!

It is probably worth raising a support case. If you really only need one seat but you currently have a 5 seat license, there may be an arrangement to be reached to take advantage of upgrade pricing which would save you some more money.

It certainly sounds like a one seat license (with the 3 activations that that grants) is what you actually need.
