Feature Request: Smart Albums - Save & Export User Presets
I'd love the ability to save my custom smart albums to a user preset file that I could load into new sessions or carry around on a USB stick and load onto whichever capture station I'm working with that day.
Currently, I have several smart albums, which are a little more involved than the Frequently Used options, that I have to recreate every time I create a new session or move workstations. For example: Tagged = True OR Rating is 1+ Stars AND Processed State False.
Any likelihood on this happening. Or, better yet, that it's already possible and I'm just unaware.
Cheers,
Eric

Hi Eric,
Since (Smart) Albums are stored in the session file, you could carry the session file (*.col50) with you or an entire session (i.e. session folder, with 4 default session folders and the session file). Anywhere you go, you open that session (best to copy it from your USB stick to the system's disk first) and enjoy your smart albums. You might want to move the images to your session folders.
This kind of workflow is in general referred to as the template session. Create anything you like to be there by default and save it for future use. Then you copy the main session folder, rename both the folder and the session file and open it in CO6.0 -
Thanks for responding, Paul.
Yes, making a template session would work; however, in practice I've found this to be less than ideal and sometimes impractical. It only works if I am the person who started the session, which is not always the case.
The bottom line is that considering the number of other preferences and presets that are easily saved and exported by C1 I find it amazing the Smart Albums aren't one of those options.
Cheers,
Eric0
