Can't shoot tethered with C15 upgrade with 5D

I've been using my Canon 5Dmk1 for years with C1 3. I've now upgraded to C1 v5.2, with a new Mac Book Pro OSX 10.6.4 and can no longer shoot tethered!! i've tried numerous times and with different cables. Could it be a firmware issue on the camera (i'm running 1.1.0). I REALLY need to resolve this asap.
I'd happily use v3 to capture, but can't seem to download it successfully.

Please, can anyone help???!!!

  New MacBook Pro? Could be the USB port. Try the other ports.
