    photogman,

Need to know the camera model used.

There is an issue with using Arbitrary Rotation affecting the cropping and processing of 1Ds Mk II files.
    > if using Arbitrary Rotation to apply 90 CW or CCW, then zero it back and use the 90 CW or 90CCW icons at top

    > if not 90 and a specific degree setting, don't use and straighten in Photoshop

Thanks for responding Keith. I apologize for not making my post more descriptive as that hamstrings the user who reads it. My camera is a Canon 1Ds not to be confused with the 1Ds Mk II.

This image is not cropped using the crop tool in C1. This is full frame that was vertical. I rotated all my images to vertical one they were in C1 for easier viewing. If you need any other information, please reply and I will furnish it. Thanks for you help as I know this will come up again I'm afraid. This hasn't happened in over 2 years.

PS. I rotated it back to horizontal, processed it, and it turned out the same way-corrupted.

    Photogman,

A flag goes up when you say only 8 of 100 images behave this way.
The Fact that Capture One handles RAW image files as Read Only, makes me suspicious of other programs used.
For a few images of a batch to behave differently, typically means that these files were handled in another program before loading into Capture One and the RAW has been altered in some manner.
This could have been a simple renaming or rotation using the Canon or some other program, but the result is the same... Capture One does'nt understand.

There is a variable here somewhere with these files. If not another program, then maybe the CF card they were on, or Ex HD or basic file transferring could possibly corrupt a file.

Suggest taking copies of these problem files and starting a New Session to check results.
You may also create a Support Case and attach one of these problem files for analysis.

    Sincerely,
    K C
