Upgraded to 4.8.3 - issues with images sharpness
I used Capture One 4.1.1 so far with Tiger.
So, when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, I immediately got 4.8.3.
To my shock the display quality is less than it was wit 4.1.1.
The images don't look as sharp as they used to. Even images I know are perfectly in focus now look out of focus.
Was there something with the sharpness setting in 4.1.1 that made them look so sharp?
I liked that look. Now it looks all fuzzy to me.

Regardless i strongly adives to you move to 5.0.1. It makes a BIG difference in stability and otherwise. 0 -
From version CO4.5 and later the image preview is drawn different on your screen that from 4.0-4.1.x. Release 4.8.3 and the newer 5.x work in the same manner in my opinion.
CO 4.0-4.1.x gave a not natural and sometime to optimistic sharpness image in the viewer. Release 4.8 and 5 do a much better job but at the penalty to longer times to redraw the image after selecting and adjusting. It can take a second or two depending on your hardware. CO5 has an independent Focus Tool window for fast redraw of a small part of the image for excellent review of the sharpness.0 -
Thanks, Paul.
I gathered that more realistic representation.
But redrawing the image - I can't work with this going out of focus, and back.
If Photoshop would do this, nobody would use it.0
