Also, after installing 3.7.5 can I Uninstall 3.7.4 or will I lose anything?

I saw that too, that 3.7.4 and 3.7.5 were both listed in my Add & Remove Programs list. A little poking around seemed to show that un-installing either would run the same program. So it doesn't look like a good idea to un-install 3.7.4 because it looks like it will just end up deleting the current install. (I used RegEdit to remove 3.7.4 from my un-install list, but that is not recommened unless you are comfortable messing in the Windows Registry.) Really, the 3.7.5 installer should have checked to see if a previous version was already installed and cleaned up the add and remove list.

What happen if i set SHARPENING HIGH (working with raw) and i open the file in Phase ONE c1 pro, the software would see this sharpening setting? or this setting only work with Nikon Capture?..

Regards, and sorry for using your post for this, but i think that somehow this could be part of your question.

    Regards.

When you update versions, an Uninstaller will update as well.
3.7.4 does not exist, if you uninstall this, it will uninstall Capture One 3.7.5

The in-camera Sharpening setting applies sharpening to In-Camera processed files - JPEG captures.
With RAW image file, all data is available and then sharpening can be applied in Capture One.

Ketih my question was oriented to phase one basically because if i use a sharpenning setting on my camera, when i use NIKON CAPTURE (Nikon Raw Editor) this soft uses the Sharpening setting, so i have to disable it, or not and use Unsharp Mask.

    Hey Juan,
I just have a question as to how you are using C1. I use it too with my Nikon D200, D2X, but obviously we cannot use it for capture, but we can use it to point C1 at the file for browsing purposes and RP (raw processing). Anyhow, I noticed that the C1 sw, does not refresh itself when using it this way and will only refresh to new file or files when toggling between sw, such as Nikon Capture Control (NCC). It sucks, but for now that is the only way to work with the C1, till hopefully, Nikon releases the necessary SDK to Phase. Anyhow, your thoughts and anyone else using Nikon with C1, tethered.

Well, my question is if a set my camera to +2 sharpening, will c1 see this parameter when i open the raw file?, because Nikon Capture does and uses it, i have to disable this setting if i dont want a +2 sharpening in the final JPEG,...

    😊

What is that thing that you call "shooting thetered with nikon".

    Sorry about my english guys!..

    Thank you a lot.

    Juan,

Tethering is connecting camera direct to computer via USB or Firewire cable and having image files write directly to hard drive.
This eliminates the step of image transfers from CF card to HD.

No - the sharpening information from the Nikon is not read, seen, or otherwise applied into Capture One.

And yet I still don't have an answer to my original question on this thread.

Can someone tell me the difference between the Generic and the Portrait profiles?

Portrait profiles are a bit warmer with more magenta.
These are the profiles of choice for better skintones and why they are called Portrait.
