License issues are best directly addressed to Phase One in a support case. However, I can give you some basic information as a user.

When you upgrade your CO4 or CO5 license to CO6, the older license is replace by the new license. As a result the older key is invalid and may have been removed. You had and still have one license, but now capable of activating CO6 as a result of the upgrade.

However, if you like to run CO5 on one of your machines, you can use the CO6 license key for that as long as activations last.

    Dear Paul,

First thank you very much for your immediate response!
And of course thank you very much for the explanation of the key management. It really sounds logical.
The only question that bothers me is that the old keys have not disappeared during the earlier upgrades.

Nevertheless, I will try to install the C1Pro V6 and activate it with a new key that I received during my ordering process.
I hope that it will properly activate the product. If not, then I will file a support case.

I will report here if and how it will work. I hope for the best 😊

    Best regards,
    Nikolaj

    Dear Nikolay,
That may be due to the fact that in the past new license keys could not activate older versions as is now the case but I am not sure (best guess).
    Success!

    Dear Paul,

Today I finally found some time to install Phase One 6.2.1.
You were right. The deactivation of the old key deleted also all the following keys from the upgrades.

The installation was smooth and I didn't encounter any problems during it. Also the program appears to be running perfectly even on my smaller and slower computer.

I also checked the status of my key in the License management tab on the Phase One page. The key now appears there and it is listed that I have one activation left.

I processed some Leaf and Nikon D700 files and the precision of the program is excellent. I will certainly now purchase a new computer and install 64-bit operating system and Capture ONE.

Finally, I would like to thank you very much again for your prompt reply and valuable help.

    Best regards from
    Nikolaj
