express 7 now it has been discontinued.

I have only had Express 7 for a couple of months and was wondering, now that it has been discontinued, how viable it is to keep it? I can't afford to upgrade to Pro 8 this year and certainly won't be able to do so until late next year, but only if there is an upgrade incentive to do so at that time. Am I up the creek without a paddle so to speak, or should I be looking at Photo Ninja or Lightroom in the future which might be cheaper but do the job?

  Short answer: until you upgrade to a camera not supported by 7 Express, it will serve you as well in five years time as it does right now.

  Thanks for that, Keith. My workflow is tiny compared to a pro photographers workflow and quite happy with what I have at the moment. I also have CS4 if I want to do any dark room stuff I can't do in C7Express. Maybe next year though.
