remove duplicate "Open/Edit In" entries

Hi,

Somehow, I am getting a long list with duplicates of every editor I have when selecting "Open with" or Edit in" in COP10. Does any one know where those lists reside in Sierra so that I might clean up the list? It looks like it adds an entry for every installation: i.e. the worst offender is Affinity Photo Beta.

  Hi,
  
  do you still have the disk-image of the installer-package of the app with duplicated entries mounted? Just unmount it and the entry will be gone.

  This list comes from the OS.

  Johannes, no the installers have been dismounted. Jim, instructions in the article pretty much did the trick. I used the terminal command. Duplicates are gone.
