Tethering failure after Mac Mojave update

Hi - anyone having this problem?

I am running Capture One 8.3.4
I just updated my os to Mojave. I have not updated Capture One.
Before the update, I was able to tether without any problems to my Canon 5DS.
Now I cannot get Capture One to connect the camera at all. I've tried different cables/ports, but am assuming its due to the Mojave update?

  I think you'll find that version 8 does not support Mojave!
  
  The Knowledge Base article here says that for version 8, OSX 10.9.5 (Mavericks) is the earliest supported and 10.11.6 (El Capitan) is the latest.

  I wish I wouldn't have updated without figuring that out. Time to upgrade Capture One now.
