Question about new Nikon S series lens profiles
I notice when uploading pictures from my Nikon Z7 that there's a lot of pincushion distortion with the 24-70 lens
I can understand C1 not yet having profiles set up for their new lenses, but I thought the lens correction on these lenses was embedded in the picture files - Lightroom seems to correct the errors automatically
Anyone out there with any definitive information on this?
I should say I've tried 'Manufacturer Profile' and it appears to do nothing
Thanks
Keith

I'm having the same problem. I imported my first Z6 pics using the kit lens yesterday and was disappointed to see that no lens correction is being applied. Lens distortion very visible. It defaults to Generic. If I switch to Manufacturer Profile, nothing happens. I'm going to have to try Lightroom. Sorry I just paid to upgrade to C1 12. 0 -

Yes. Phase One.
And they're disinclined to share information about future developments on this forum.0 -

"Must"?
Or?0 -
Already half a year has passed and there is no support. And this despite the fact that the profile is already embedded in raw. Strongly disappointed 😭 0 -
It is very disappointing. You can use the profile for the 24-70/E lens which improves things although it's not perfect. 0 -
I ended up going back to Lightroom because of this. I'm very happy with the results so far. I probably won't return to C1 in the future. I feel cheated being told that the Z6 is supported only to find it really isn't. No excuse for not at least applying the Nikon corrections already embedded in the raw file. 0
