Crash after OS 10.13.6 security update

After installing the latest security update to MACOS 10.13.6, Capture One Pro quit for no apparent reason while applying metadata to multiple images. On reopening, changes to about about a half dozen images were lost (reverted to original raw image). There were no other losses. Later, Capture One quit, again, this time while I was doing nothing and with no loss of data. I cannot replicate the condition causing COP to quit I reported both event to Phase One and Apple. Has anyone had a similar experience?
