Overlay tool do not work ?

hello,
for the first time I tested the 'overlay' tool . In the main window, the overlay of two images is displayed correctly but does not appear in the thumbnail of the browser and when I ask a print or an output, the overlay is not carried out, only the picture appears. What is going on?

    The overlay is not a file merge facility.

    It is provided so that an image can be appropriately sized or cropped and positioned to fit design requirements - a magazine page for example where titles and logos and headlines will be printed over the top of the image making positioning important. The same for page margins in magazines. That sort of requirement in general.

    Hello Paul,
    since vers. 8.0.2 the overlay tool has got a bug:
    No scaling possible.
    On another Macsystem with vers. 8.0.1 it´s behaving correctly

    Have not noticed this. Have used it on 8.0.2 including scaling yesterday without problems. Any other potential cause possible?
