Cropping and Full Frame Question
At the risk of sounding obtuse (Aperture refugee using trial version), I can't figure out how to do the following:
1. Applying a crop - I can place the crop lines on an image, but how do you get it to complete the crop. Hitting return/enter gives me "set as compare variant". "C" does not do anything. I just see the crop lines on top of the image, but it doesn't crop it.
2. Full screen - the user guide says there should be a double arrow icon in the upper right corner that you can click to enter full screen. I don't seem to have that double arrow. It also says that Cmd+Shift+> will allow you to toggle between full screen and back. It doesn't do anything. Under view, there is another option that says ^+Cmd+F. That does seem to work, although it goes in and out of full screen in slow motion.
Thanks for any help you can give.

About 1), applying a crop:
There is no need to apply a crop. You set the region with the crop tool, and you are done. On export, only the cropped region will be processed. Keystone, rotation and crop tool will still show the whole image. All others, including zoom, work on the cropped region.

Thank you, Hans. The "v" and "c" does what I was looking for. I didn't see that thread when I searched the forum under "crop tool", so thank you for the link to it.
As for the full screen, I'm sure I can probably just change the keyboard shortcuts when I purchase a license.0 -
OK, now for the full screen. I wanted to get back to my Mac before answering. 😄
In the top left corner of your window you have a red, a yellow and a green button.
The green one on the right (with 2 little arrows on it) gets you in and out of full screen.

The cropping really confused me when I first started using CO too. What I do, is define my crop, then click the hand tool. It will remove the outside of the crop from the viewer, so it looks like it applies. 0 -
Thank you both for your help. I appreciate you taking the time to answer. 0
