    Bonjour,

    Same for me.

In the the list I can see Paint, or photos wiever like FastStone, LibreOffice Draw. But not PSE13.

And PSE opening is not memorized.

    Thanks

I too use Nik collections and would like to have an easy way to access those programs. I'll wait to see if there is a work around so I don't have to "browse" for the program I want to use. Phase One, you listening?

    Hello,

It takes place is in the Register. I removed some files associations with *.tiff and all " open with ". Then I requested that PSE13 is the program by default for the TIFF.

I still have some incongruities in the list, but I have now PSE13 in the list without being oblige to go get it explicitly.

I make a change request to Phase One. The list should be a modifiable parameter.

    Thanks

AP, which registry key did you modify exactly? And which OS version are you on?
I could make Windows to suggest the wanted applications, but that did not reflect on Capture One.

I dont remember exactly. I can just say again "*.tiff and all " open with ".

Search throug the Register for TIFF and TIF and remove what you find : the associations and the OpenWithList.

Ahh, I got it! I wrongly assumed that the file associations for the raw file type were used. But as AP correctly wrote, it's the Tif file associations. So open any tif from the Windows file Explorer 'open with...', and Capture One will show that application in the list the next time you use the 'Edit with... ' command.

If you are reluctant to dive into the registry settings you should also be able to manage file associations and default program settings using the Control Panel functions.

"Default Programs" (Win 7 Pro) allows you to set a default for a file type by extension and to make file associations both of which will then be added to any list previously developed or auto-created during software installation routines.

This little (free) utility was originally written to use with Nikon Capture NX2, which only allowed you to specify one External Editing program at a time. I have found that it works perfectly well with Capture One. It allows you to set up up to 12 programs to use as external editors. Just run the setup as per the instructions, then set up a Process Recipe inside Capture One (I saved it as 'Edit With'). Set it up to save as 16 bit tiff, in the folder of your choice and specify 'Open With' and select the path to the EditList3.exe file. Then call up the recipe and process it, and CO8 will save a 16 bit tiff in the folder you specified, then present you with a list of external editors. Select one, and the tiff will be opened in your chosen editor. When you have finished, the modified file will be saved back into your specified folder and can then be Imported into CO8.

This saves having to specify each external editor whenever you want to use them.
    Give it a try! 😊
