Update image in C1 after editing in external program
Hello everyone!
Most of my editing is done in C1 but for some images it is necessary to open it in another application (Photoshop, Pixelmator, etc.)
Since there is no way for raw-based editing across applications, I export a high-quality .tiff into a specific subfolder in the Output directory and edit it in another program.
I've added this Output subfolder to my Session Favorites, so I can keep track of my edits and make minor adjustments (I do realise I do adjust the edited .tiff file and not the original raw) but for most of my quality needs this is enough.
Now here is the question: When I have the same photo (the edited .tiff) open in C1 and the external application, how do I get C1 to update the photo ("Regenerate Preview" seemingly doesn't to anything).
I'm very new to C1 so any help is appreciated.

I have this problem and have a case open for it with support but its not going anywhere fast. You can re-import the photo to get the preview to update. The real dangerous issue is if you export the image it will also ignore the changes to the original file which I find really disconcerting. Its creating full size tiff's from a preview / cached image.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions - even though this is concerning. Especially the part in your video about exporting the edited image from C1 showing that only the preview gets exported. Clearly a bug (and explaining) the behaviour I saw those last days.
Thanks anyway, I'll keep my eye on those release notes.0
