How to make a pic all B&W with just one area of color? Help?
I'm so frustrated. I've been trying to do this for days, but apparently what I'm doing isn't right. I thought I was doing it correctly when clicking on 'view selected color range' and could see what I wanted, but in the end it isn't the end result. Would anyone be willing to give me step-by-step instructions on how to do this? I'll be photographing my baby in a red, white, and blue headband tonight and would like it to be the only color in the photo. How do I do this? If it's not possible with the red and blue together, how would I do it if it were just one color like a purple dress or blue eyes? Thank you!

The feature 'View selected color range' is not an adjustment; it is a view option only. It will show you which colors in the image are affected by your adjustments on the color you just picked with the eye-dropper. To prevent confusion, do not use it for a day. In the color editor you have several sliders. Have you tried this, for example the saturation slider: bring it to the max. negative value.
And the CO6 help site on the Color Editor is here (also accessible from CO6, Color Editor tool):
