Adjustment sliders not working

When I use an adjustment slider, the values change, but the image doesn't. What's happening? I'm evaluating Pro 12 Fuji in Windows.

    Are you using a layer adjustment?

    If so, have you created a mask?

    I exited and reopened, and now it's working.
