Keep on Going to White Balance Tool

Hi,
I'm probably doing something stupid, but my system keeps switching to the white balance picker tool, whether I want to or not. Any idea why this is happening?

    What is your OS, and version of CO ?

    When and how often does this happen?

    On the upper menu bar there are a series of icons/tools that you can click on.
    Be sure to click on the "select" arrow (left side) after you have used the wb tool.

    Hi,
    It's happening without me ever using the WB tool. For example just now I selected a new image, and without prompting it enabled the white balance tool instead of the arrow or pan tools, which is what I'd expect.

    Hi,
    I'm running 7.1.2 on Windows 7-64.

    It seems to happen when I open an image for the first time, or particularly if I move the image I have been working on outside C1 (I use sessions and an external DAM program) and then select another image to work on.

    Does this suggest anything?

    Pressing the 'w' key selects the white balance cursor tool.
