Applying IPTC Description to multiple files

Hi all,

the title says it all, trying to apply an ITPC Description tag (or any tag) to all selected files. This doesn't work with multiple variants toggled which is how I would expect it work. Thanks!

    I've tried copying but it doesn't seem to take the metadata. I hit copy (doesn't matter where) and that always shows as unchecked even if the description field is entered. I can check it and hit copy again and it unchecks again. When I apply it is not carried over, but other adjustments are.

    I'm using 9.1.0.82.

    Select all images you need. Click on the image you you want to copy from. Click on the double arrow in Metadata panel and select required fields, then click "copy". Click on the big arrow down in the top tool bar. This works for me.
