Export single variant from session
I have made a small change to just one photo in my session and would like to export only that. But when select it and hit "export variants" all my 198 photos are set to be exported.
How do I export a single variant from my session?
EDIT: I tried moving the image to the "selects" folder and then all images were moved. Now when I select the image and hit export it sets only that image for export. What went wrong? It was as if all photos ere selected, but the UI didn't not give me any clues nor let me select a single image.
All the best

You have to make sure that only the one image is selected. If you are looking at the images in the browser, there will be one with a heavy white border round it which is the primary selected variant. But there may be others with a light white border, and if so they are selected too. If you are in any doubt about what is and what is not selected, go to the Select menu and choose Deselect All, then click on just the single image you want to export.

Aha. Thanks Ian.
In most applications clicking something indirectly deselects everything else, except if shift is held down. That did not seem to be the case here. Is that expected behaviour for Capture One?0 -
If you have all the images selected, clicking on one will simply change which is the primary selection. If you have only some of the images selected, clicking on one that is not selected will deselect the others (unless you hold down Cmd as you click so as to add to the selection).

Also if the app has previously tried to export a large number of images, you might lick to check the queue on the batch tab and make sure that they are not all cued up for processing.

To piggy-back, if they are queued up, use the dropdown at the top right of that tool and hit Clear Queue. This will empty the queue and you'll be able to export just one image.0
