Astronomy / Pictures from the night sky
Dear forum members
I recently asked for help in this forum concerning images of the night sky
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=15700&p=73794&hilit=betelgeuse#p73794
Now I wanted to ask if anyone here around takes images from the night sky or where stars are visible? The bigger colored surfaces are well processed (the way I expect it) but the tiny spots of the stars are kind of "washed out". Has C1 really a problem with smaller colored spots or have I missed something in the settings? I am a beginner of C1 (never touched the color tools yet, but I have no need to, the colors are perfect in C1).
Please respond if you make astronomical pictures or just pictures of the night sky!
Thank you very much!
Aurel

Aurel,
There are options in Capture One to reduce "Single Pixel" noise.
Perhaps as your subject matter only renders on 1 or 2 pixels, that noise reduction algorithm is mistaking the subject for unwanted noise.
Check the Details settings.0
