Am I the only one kinda annoyed by the brush head?
I just recently got Capture One Pro 11 coming from Lightroom. I had Capture One Pro 9 for tethered shooting which I do on occasion. However, I don't like the direction Lightroom is going in so I figured I'd upgrade and utilize more of C1's features for raw editing.
So far, there are some things it does way better and I enjoy and some things that I feel could be improved and I find a little frustrating. I realize I'm still adjusting to it so I might just not be use to the differences yet.
One of those things is the brush head. Why are there all those lines around it? There's a cross hair in the center and the 4 lines on each side. Is there a way to change the appearance of the brush head or get rid of them? I don't see the benefits to them being there and they just get in the way. Just having the circle is all that's really necessary. However, the brush circle will disappears after giving it a size of 12 or less
Maybe I'm being a little too nitpicky and it's just me. So I'm wondering if I'm the only user (albeit a very new user) who wouldn't mind the brush head being changed and more minimalistic and remain visible despite being set to a very small size.

The crosshair is actually a plus sign (+) to mean you're on brush that adds in mask. It should switch to minus (-) when you are on erase mask.
Not sure what the 4 lines are for. I think it is to help with lining and orientation.
Auto mask masks the same color tone that is right under the + and - in the brush middle, I believe.
Brush circle seems to disappear into a crosshair depending on my zoom level.
WPNL: Turning off auto mask doesn't change the look of the brush, only how it brushes on my end.0 -

I'm on Windows and when I disable auto mask the number of lines (circles) in the brush tool are reduced.0 -
The appearance of the brush indicates the mode you are using. + for brush and - for erase. Also the circles mean specific things. a "normal" brush has two circles. Within the inner circle, everything gets the full opacity of your brush stroke (depending on your opacity setting) and it feathers away to zero between the inner circle and the outer circle. If you enable the smart brush setting, you get three circles. On a suitable image, to get the edge detection, you need to have the edge between the middle circle and the inner circle.
If a brush is very small you can't see the circles. But if you zoom in they will appear again.
All explained here. and here .

Doy, I should've known that. I still feel it's a little too obtrusive, but I feel now it really is more of an issue of just not being used to it.0 -

Thanks for the explanation and links. I've been watching and reading up on some tutorials and explanations of how C1 works so these will help0
