    Sorry, my bad.

It seems to be the RSIZE bug in the OS when the memory allocation exceeds 2GB. I'm waiting to hear from the end user if removing the excess memory solves the issue.

Yup, Quad core MacPro with 4gb. Remove 2gb, it works again. Found the issue at least.

Wow.....'excess memory'.....don't think I've ever seen those two words used together before.

I have.... with Windows XP! 😂

This issue is peculiar to Quad core running OS X. For once an Apple issue and not a PhaseOne one.

Excuse me, could you explain this problem again? So I have the problem working with my p45+ on my MacPro Quad Core Dual with 16 GB RAM and mostly after taking a shot the program tells me that there is a "Fire Wire Problem" and sometimes also that there is Camera Problem. So I changed the FW cable, the ports and also the DB - the failure still remains. Working with the same equippment on an imac or my MBP everything is fine.
So if I understand you in the right way: I should remove RAM to get the system running ❓ ❓ ❓

And having a lumb, slow machine afterwards? This cannot be the truth. Is there no workaround?

And you can probably improve the slow redraw problem by shooting lower resolution files too....LOL

    Gotta love this stuff 😊

So there is a "workaround" that works on my machine: Disable Autostart Programs (esp the "big" ones - after booting the computer start C1 and connect the camera. If C1 is running you can start other applications.

Until Apple provide a solution, not that we are aware of.
