C1 7.1.1
For some reason the RGB info is not reading on the images, when moving the mouse around the image the RGB numbers are not showing up or occasionally do, but are erratic. Just the latest weird thing. I have open CL turned off.

Any possibility that your challenge is something like this one?
viewtopic.php?f=46&t=14298&p=66347&hilit=rgb+values#p66347
Worth checking I guess.0 -
Thanks for that suggestion, I had not looked at that, it was set for "selected recipe, which may be the default, I experimented by setting to Adobe RGB,( which is the same as in the recipe, but still "no go" The value numbers appear once in a while but is mostly not there. It is doing it in other sessions as well.
I know it is possible that some of these "Bugs" may be something I am doing wrong, but so far they seem to be real.
There are so many, It froze up twice on my other computer on location this week.0 -
I seemed to have gotten it to work again. I just selected the eye dropper tool, it worked then, and when switching back to any other tool like hand or cursor, it would again read rgb values at the top of the image frame.
Simple fix, had not thought to do that before. It "unstuck" something. Still some weird bug in the software for sure.0 -

Hi David,
I suspect there is something similar happening in windows but it must take a particular combinaton of circumstances to start it off and once working it seems to work solidly. It's not something I rely on image by image so I tend not to notice if a rarely involving feature has gone AWOL from time to time. That makes it doubly difficult to be sure that the IS something strange going on.
I have a slight suspicion that the UI (in windows, possibly Mac too?) may do some odd things from time to time. Mostly to do with the very many little display tasks that have to be made visible as we change layouts, stretch and squeeze the windows and so on. Things might not be so difficult to manage of we all used fairly consistent hardware and graphics display stuff ... but we don't.
I don't know of any software that does not have at least some random anomalies. The challenge for fixing them is to be able to most effectively spot when the peoblem arises and have enough useful information available to support the people digging into the code. Often not easy - there are some complex and ever changing background things going on with the code around all of this.

I just saw this today as well. I couldn't get them back immediately and production needed to keep moving, but found that I could bring up the viewer window and that the RGB values showed up there with excellent reliability.
It's a stop gap solution but I hope it helps...0
