Another update available
4.6.3 is out. STILL NO TETHERED SUPPORT FOR 5DMKII. OMG!
What's the purpose of these incremental updates?

5D MarkII sRaw1 support updated for new firmware... that makes me a happy camper!
As has been said here previously, Phase One has to wait for Canon to release their SDK before they can implement MarkII tethering. I'm sure they will release tethering support as soon as they can... especially given how fast they are able to update things with this new architecture.
Perhaps a video for some perspective?

I have seen nothing about the purpose of this update in the Release note.
I have downloaded the new version, both on a MacPro and on a MacBook Pro and see no difference…
Of course there surely be some things change, but a little help to know what would be nicer from Phase…0 -

The 4.6.3 release notes opens with the text:Capture One 4.6.3 includes:
- Improved quality of P 65+ Sensor+ images
- Improved support for Canon 5DMKII sRaw fw1.07 images
It is obvious from the version number (4.6.2 to 4.6.3) that it is a maintenance release in which no new functionality should be expected but existing functionality improved (P65+) or maintained (5D MkII's new firmware broke sRAW images). Phase One decided not to wait to a larger update (typically 4.7) to release these improvements. It makes sense Phase One is dedicated to give the users of their top-of-the-line product (P65+) any improvement when available, hence another update.
If you do not process any P65+ or 5D MkII sRAW images you could decide to skip the update.0 -
Thanks Paul
wasn't obvious to me… but you're right.
Another bunch of Mb downloaded and bandwith eaten for nothing…0 -
Have Phase One forgotten they make digital backs?
OK, they've done something for P65 owners. However, all I see is the adding of endless 35mm cameras.
Absolutely NOTHING to do with sorting things out for owners of their backs who use a large format ie a plate camera, let alone fixing 'known bugs'.
I despair. I'm seriously considering moving to Leaf or better still, flogging the lot, getting a scanner & going back to shooting film. At least my darkslides & lab work as expected.0 -
I know exactly what you mean ,this software has been a endless round of frustration ,and the chance of me getting the P65 are absolutly nil until this ongoing fiasco is resolved.
As an illustration , just try using the rotate tool without it crashing ,or selecting files to import with a Wacom pen to name another ,or even better enlarging and then reducing a frame in this current update , it is all an illustration of why my confidence in the entire Phase one product is diminishing by the day ,and once confidence is lost in any equipment it is time to move to something that can be trusted .0
