Help - Remove people from a graduated background

Struggling a bit with removing people from a graduated background. Used heal and clone layers, but the graduation just doesn't blend well, I've messed with making harness softer, etc. Looking for tips, tricks, or that C1 isn't a good tool for this.

    I concur.

    C1 is a very powerfull RAW editor and conversion tool.

    However it's not meant as a tool for complex and demanding image editing like smooth removal of broader image content.

    This is where traditional editing SW has its place.
