Browser issue

Using Windows if I hide the viewer the browser fills the space and looks like a multi-view screen.

Turning the viewer back on reverts things to how they were.

I guess you will need to wait for responses from Mac users on this.

I favour the film-strip browser option, but I have had an issue for some time (before v10) in C1 reverting to the other option (I'm not sure what you call it) of its own accord. However, that need not in fact be very different because you can resize the multi-view to a single row or column of thumbnails which is then not much different from the film-strip option. (And resizing it generally does seem to stick.) I keep meaning to ask about it on the forum, but it has never been a big enough deal to get round to it.

    fatihayoglu, Ian3,

The vertical film strip switches from single-column to multi-column depending on thumb size and column width. Both can be adjusted. But CO will resize the previews if it's not exactly 1 (2, 3...) image(s) that fit(s) the column with.

Did you try saving your workspace when it's correct?
If you switch between single and dual monitor, both workspaces?

    Regards,
    Hans

I only have a single monitor. I am aware of how the multi column view changes, but it has been my experience that if I select the film strip option (on the drop down eye symbol) it often reverts to the multi column view (although with the width kept narrow, multi column often works out as single column anyway, so there is not much practical difference). This has not seem to have been cured by saving the workspace in the past. However, going into v10 just now it was still on film strip view, so who knows, maybe it is sticky now!

I use a single monitor as well and my browser is on the bottom. If I choose a picture to edit and film strip view, after editing that picture and hiding the viewer to select another picture, the browser at the bottom becomes a multi view. It looks disturbing as well as I cant see the whole image.

If you hide the viewer then you get a different view again (browser mode). I tend to select an image to work on then hide the browser with Cmd-B. When I want to move on to another one I bring the browser back with Cmd-B again. Or go to the browser mode to see a lot at once to select another one.
