Crop size keeps reverting to inches
I'm finding that the dimensions shown for crop are being displayed in inches, not pixels. If I change the drop-down in the crop tool to pixels, that only persists until I quit C1. When I open it again, it goes back to inches. I don't recall this happening in previous versions. (I'm on C1 Pro 9.0.1.)
How can I make it stick on pixels?

The crop size is given in terms of the currently selected output recipe. So select one that's in pixels. 0 -
Thanks, David.
I can't see how to change that. My output recipe (which is unchanged from what I had in a previous version) is as follows.
BASIC tab
Format JPEG
Quality 85
ICC Profile sRGB Color Space
Resolution 300 px/in
Scale Fixed
100%
Open with None
There seems to be nothing in the FILE, ADJUSTMENTS, METADATA or WATERMARK tabs that could conceivably be relevant.
In scale, I can change to "dimensions" and ensure that it goes for dimensions in px, not inches, and then switch back to 100%. But still on restarting C1, it goes back to cropping in inches.
The same seems to happen with both installations of C1, on my iMac and on my MacBook Pro. Both are running El Capitan and have been updated to C1 9.0.1.

Hi Ian
Aha! I see what you mean - I think they have changed it inadvertently perhaps so worth a bug report direct.
- If you select a recipe with output size in inches (or centimetres/millimeters) it shows that in the crop tool as before.
- If you select a recipe with an output size in pixels is shows pixels in the crop as before
But the bug they've introduced is that if you select a recipe in % it now shows inches (whatever they are!) on the the crop tool and inches with pixels in brackets in the output tool. The default was pixels before.0 -
Hi David
Good idea about the support case. I've submitted one.

I have reported this in a support case and they agree that it is a bug.

Thanks for your actions on this David and Ian.

Apparently not fixed in 9.1.

Using 9.1 and Windows if I change the UOM using a recipe definition then exit C1 and re-open it with the same session the newly set UOM is still set.
Whether there are some specific situations for which that fails is another matter ..... I don't know of any at this time.
HTH.

I just tried again and it still doesn't stick on OSX.

Actually, further investigation shows that it now does stay with pixels on my iMac, but it still reverts to inches on my MacBook. Both are running the same version of OSX and C1 v9.1.
Puzzled!
