    Adam,

Capture One will allow the Browsing of JPEGs only.
    No manipulation whatsoever.

What does tagging have to do with manuplation? I had 3000 images to edit down. I processed 482 of them as JPEGs, Now i would like to create folder for each person to select the images they want by tagging them with a check mark, and have the option to go back and see what they tagged. It ruins the process when they have to write down the file number instead of clicking a button.
In those 3000 images i shot some as JPEGS, and it really sucks that i cannot use the same program to keep them grouped as i continue to edit down the selection. It becomes a major problem when you're trying to make a story through hundreds of images that cannot be done in one sitting.
I cannot believe i have to purchase and learn another program just so i can put a check mark on JPEGS and know they will stay checked. You should never allow JPEGS to be tagged in the first place or give a warning window.

    Adam,

Tag of image = manipulation = data
Data is written to Thumbnail or Work file .C1w
Not RAW = No Work File = No Data

Not sure how you want images tagged by person... JPEGs or RAWs?, in Capture One?

The Tagging tool of Capture One is for use in Capture One only.
If your clients have Capture One, and the RAW files, and review and Tag their select images, they need to Archive and return you the .C1w files and the tags will be there when archived files are restored.

QuickProof has the ability to create an HTML document that has the images and their file names shown underneath. This can be emailed or printed.
Selections can be a numeric list or checked on the printed document.

That line of logic isn't correct. I can tag images, and process the untagged images. So, tagging doesn't mean manipulation. Put a few lines of code that will allow JPEGs to stay tagged but will ignore when processing. Why are you arguing against the needs of customers?

Clean Your Goggles Adam, There isn't 1 line of argument above.

You asked why tags failed to stay with JPEGs and You got the Answer.

If you have a specific question on how to accomplish something in Capture One ask.

If you want to submit a Feature Request, then create a Support Case at web site.

    Cheers,

I'm confused! if you've already processed the images as JPGs, why are you using C1 to view them? There's umpteen other programs out there that will allow you to view and tag JPGs. I'd suggest BreezeBrowser as an obvious candidate.
