Using custom Nikon picture controls

Hi, I use some custom picture controls on my Nikon Z7. Is it possible to import those into Capture One and use them like an ICC profile, the same way as the standard picture controls?

    I have the same question. I used custom picture control for my Z6 (Wingman Vivid). It is disappointing that the picture control is not recognized by C1 Pro 20

    Does the setting relate to in-camera software features used for the production of jpg images?

    Nikon camera allows users to save custom Picture Control in the camera. These custom Picture Control actually involve curve, sharpening, contrast, brightness, saturation and hue.

    So unless the in-camera adjustments allowed work in exactly the same way as Capture One adjusts things (Unlikely I suspect) some sort of interpretation would need to be applied.

    For that to happen I would expect that Nikon and Capture One would need to work on some sort of intermediate settings interpretations file(s). If that happened and if the adjustments achieved could be made exactly the same then there could be an interesting new feature for Nikon owners.

     

    Meanwhile the best one might hope for is that someone takes the time to create some emulations in some way and decides to share their work with others.
