How to retain Edited RAW if I plan to change file directory
Hi all, I am new to Capture One Pro. I just purchased the Pro version few months ago.
I have edited for over thousand of photos. Currently my RAW files are saved in a 500GB External Harddisk.
I am planning to move these files to a new 2TB harddisk, which will change the file directory.
Will the edited RAW files be lost after the file directory for these RAW files are changed?
I have created a catalogue in the computer and did the "backup" every time I finish editing the files.
Thanks!

You'll just need to relocate them (right click > Locate…). 0 -
The adjustments you have made are all stored in the catalog, not on the external disk(s) so it really is only a matter of relocating as John Doe said.
If you are in doubt about what to do, you could create a small catalog with a dozen images, then try moving those, and precise the relocate action on that.

John, Thanks for your reply.
I just moved my files (approx 8000 RAW files) to new harddisk. However John's method need to choose for each RAW files, which is quite impossible to map again manually one by one.
Is it possible to automatically map my catalogue to my new drive?0 -

Yes, go to the Folders section, click on the 'orphaned' folder and relocate. The higher the folder in the folder hierarchy, the fewer relocations are necessary.0 -
The discussed issue is one of the reason why I've stayed with "Sessions". Copy for backup purposes is easy because all edit files are stored in subfolders of the image holding directory so everything that matters is kept together. 0
