C1 to External or Internal Drive???
My current setup when I am shooting tethered is to have a Thunderbolt external drive attached and then C1 puts files on it. This way I can unplug that drive and move the images directly to my main Mac for editing, etc.
I was told that C1 works better if you tether to an internal drive not an external. This should not be the case since the bus speed would be the only factor and they are both fast.
Any comments from the Phase or Capture folks?
thanks

Not sure whether the 'Phase or Capture folks' will jump into this, as this is primarily a user-to-user forum. But it can happen.
External drives are a potential source of errors, not in particular for performance reasons, but for stability. It is simply easier to interrupt an external drive than an internal one. The smallest interruption will distort the working of Capture One when shooting to the external drive.
But if you feel comfortable in using the external drive for shooting, please do so.0
