C1 Express - relocating catalog files
Hello everyone, I tried to solve my problem with technical support but it seems imposibble so I will try it here.
I have Capture One Express for Sony, I have my own file structure for raw files so I am importing them with
Destination selected as "Current Location". The SW has it's own file directory for database files - previews, cache, adjustments - which is stored in a folder that is synchronized on my cloud (Let's say E:\cloud\C1E). As I am using only this pc, it is eating my space on cloud which I don't want.
Is there a way I can change the directory for the catalog files? So that the Capture One would be saving all the adjustment, cache etc. files to a place I choose? (Let's say to D:\C1E).
When moving raw files I know there is Locate but I can't find such thing with Catalog files.
Thank you for any help.
Radek

I feel like I am missing something important... Shouldn't this be as easy as moving the directory containing the catalogue file to a new location (i.e. move not just the catalogue file itself but the directory it is in and all sub directories). Then double click on the catalogue file to open it. 0 -
Oh, thank you Ian! It was probably me missing something important as I didn't realize I could double click it to open with C1. However the Express version can't open catalog with double click as it supports only one at a time but a dialog window shows saying that holding Alt key while opening the app will let me choose my default Catalog folder. That's exactly what I wanted, thank you for pointing me there. Thanks a lot! 0
