Live View issues w/Nikon D800
Hello all,
I've done a forum search but didn't find the info fitting my issue.
I am running Capture One Pro version 7.1.4.92 on a Mac Pro 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (2008 model 3,1) with 12 GB RAM. I'm tethering my Nikon D800 into the computer using one of the USB 2 ports. When I turn on Live View, the window appears and works fine for about 90 seconds. Then CO crashes, every time. When I do product work with an art director present, having Live View up for extended periods is an absolute must. I tried tethering the D800 to CO through a USB 3 card that I have installed in the computer ( Sonnet Allegro w/current driver) but the camera isn't recognized via this method. Does anyone know what the issue could be? I notice in the Live View window the 'frame rate' is continually changing. Is this normal? I'd like to get this issue ironed out as quickly as possible.
Thanks for any helpful input.
Dennis

Here is the fix to my issue for anyone accessing this thread. I booted my Mac Pro with the latest OS 10.9 Mavericks, updated my Capture One Pro from 7.1.4 to the current 7.1.5 build 32. Using this combination, I am no longer having Live View crash. 😄 0 -
I'm having the same issues with Nikon D800 with exact the same computer ( Mac Pro 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (2008 model 3,1) with 10 GB RAM) but running on OSX 10.8.5. I'm also running my new laptop with C1-7 (7.1.5) (MacBook Pro, 2 GHz intel Core i7, 8GB RAM on OSX 10.9 and I'm encountering the same problem. I wish I new exactly what the fix is. Rebooting is not working for me. The live view still doesn't work. Any other suggestions will help. Thanks! Mario 0 -
