I had his happen when working with 4.1.1.

Exporting JPEGs to a web gallery created in Lightroom, Lightroom would not accept 2 or 3 jpegs out of 80 - 100. I had to create those Jpegs in DPP.

No idea what was the issue, but it occurred regularly.

I have the same problem with the jpg format but also with the format tif. Since version 5.01, the file format tif first open with Camera Raw. This is not normal. How to solve this problem?

    Graham2 & Paolo,
What are your output parameters? Have you tried to change these? Paolo, does it occur continuously or intermittently (jpeg/tiff opened as RAW). Which version of Photoshop and OS X do you use?

I do have the same weird thing happening, when processing CR2 files from 1Ds3…

I solved my problem doing this :

    Quit C1
Go to the folder where your files are
Remove all .xmp files (being there because once you tried LR or ACR (you know when C1 was crashing…)
    Restart C1
    et voilà !

Hope this is the same reason as you and that it will solve your problem…

Thanks Nicolas for your feedback. Hopefully this helps other users as well. Are you on OS X 10.6.x?

    Hi Paul

But imho, it's still a bug of C1… This should not happen!

    Hi,

same here (OS X 10.5.8, CaptureOnePro 5.01). I develop files (NEF D700) into jpg´s or tif (with or without LZW or ZIP) and can not open them in PS CS4. PS interprets them as RAW file... This never happened before and did not happen with the 5.0 version.

I have no XMP files anywhere. Any help?

NOT SOLVED BUT A SOLUTION: trash the xmp files BEFORE processing the files. Seen in "Capture One 5.0.1 known issues" in this forum.

    Regards - Peter
