increased Clarity value will not change RGB value readout
I have noticed this:
(4.8 on my 10.5.5 )
If I increase clarity value the image looks changes , but from what I see the RGB values stay the same as with zero clarity - also over/under exposure is not showing up , despite I get some clipping when increasing clarity ( this is as expected because of increased local contrast - OTOH i would expect exposure warning to show problematic areas ) .
I got several problematic files today just because the RGB readout / exposure warning will
not be influenced by clarity ...
Anyone else seeing this ? -
Looks like a bug for me - maybe it is a known issue / or just my box ...
Checked this with several sessions - getting a lot of clipped areas despite OK RGB values readout inside 4.8 ( even at pixel to pixel screen ratio )

I wanted to make a support case for this issue , here comes catch 22:
While trying to create a support case - a dialog box says my software is not registered
( which is BS ) , when I try to re- register Capture One claims the software is already registered ..
I guess that is a good way to protect support people from getting too busy ☹️
I guess next step is ventilating this at some other forum .
OK , at last I re - registered my P45+ so support case is sent...0 -
It seems that no one uses clarity slider here, but .....
FYI I got info from support saying Quote :
"Dear Jann,
our R&D team acknowledged your remarks and they will change the way RGB values are handled and calculated in upcoming releases of Capture One."
I like that ,
C1 support is in fact quite good.0 -
Thanks Jann for taking the effort which we all will benefit from and for reporting it back here.
(we all be using this tool shortly 😉)0
