Metadata Locked

I am trying to add metadata to a group of images and some have a little crossed-out pencil in the lower right corner - I can't edit these. The rest all have what I'm guessing is a little sheet of paper, and I can edit, add presets... How do I unlock the locked ones?

  I have the same problem with small pictures. I think the limitation is 600px.

  A typical image I see this on is 7858 × 4165 px, same general size as all the others in this set...

  What camera were they taken with? What's you Capture One run-mode?
