A recipe is a collection of factors that you choose to use for your output - so you might want to have the output as a JPG with a quality setting of 75, a specific size (say 1000 px on the long edge) and a particular watermark. (There are lots of other attributes you could set, on several different tabs on the output tab.) You click the + for a new recipe and while it is the selected one in the list, you set all those things - JPG, 75, 1000 px, watermark, etc. You call your recipe something that is meaningful to you like "1000 px watermark". Then every time you want that combination of attributes you select that recipe from the list.

Not much more to it than that.

We have a manual, tutorial video's and (as noted) support did provide instructions promptly.

If you have further questions please feel free to ask support to clarify... just ask nicely and maybe they'll call you if they have time. 😉
