Noobie question: is CO4 worth using?
Hi guys, I'm new to the whole digital capture world, just got a P45+ with camera. I have been opening the images in Photoshop's RAW processing feature and they look great. The Phase One Capture software seems clunky and not very intuitive, so I'm wondering if it's worth tackling its learning curve or just sticking to Photoshop. Are there any tools on there that make it more powerful than Photoshop and hence worth digging into?

The image quality, the tools that allow you to squeeze the max out of your images to name two. Nice video tutorials on http://www.phaseone.com/4 to start with. And its free for your P45+ images. 0 -
In ONE word: NO.
C1 is buggy.0 -
Well - you can shoot tethered for example..
But i have to agree that you have in photoshop ways more features to adjust your raw files..
Simple and easy - C1.. more things to adjust - Photoshop.
But with a p45+ you can still use c1pro 3.x wich is ways less buggy than c1pro 40 -
Definitely get up to speed with CO4. Yes there's some problems but it's just a matter of time before they'll be dealt with and the quality and workflow advantages are worth it.
