Smart albums and Collections

Hi all, I started creating catalogs and sessions before I really understood what they were so as a result I have a number of catalogs where I probably only need one. I would like to create a Smart Album that will contain all photos in all catalogs and Sessions that have a five star rating. I have tried this but I seem to be only able to set up a Smart Album within a catalog. So can you set up a global Smart album or Collection that will contain images across all Catalogs and Sessions once the filter criteria has been met ?

    No you can only make a smart album from within one catalog (or session). But you could create a master catalog and import the others into it. File>Import Catalog>Capture One catalog... and work with that, so the fact that you started with a number of catalogs won't matter, as you could amalgamate them like that.
