    Hello !

    in a session or a catalog ?

In a session, in the library tool, right-clic on the folder and rename, or low double-lcic and rename.
And you can move folders as you want.
Only thing you can't do in the library tool is trashing a folder.

According to Capture One support the recommended workflow is to move the folder manually and the using the "Locate" feature.

As someone moving from Lightroom I must say that Capture One has a lot of nice features but the file handling lacks a lot.

Funny thing is Media Pro has excellent folder management. On Mac it can even track when a folder has been moved or renamed in the Finder and locate the files - but that's not recommended.

Interesting point about Media Pro. Unfortunately that's another $199..

I suppose my point is Phase One acquired the technology 5 years ago but don't use it in CO. File handling is part of DAM and renaming/moving files in the Finder/Windows Explorer then reconnecting them in CO - is so last century.

Media Pro remains a viable option and is still a decade ahead of how CO currently handles DAM. Aperture was better and after 10 years Lightroom is now mature enough to be a solid DAM solution for those who like Adobe Camera Raw.
