Colour changes during conversion

I don't know how BB handles raw files. But...

In C1 the preview looks a bit more saturated and a bit more contrasty as the final jpg or tif in Photoshop. Maybe it's similar in BB for some reason.
In C1 you should check the focus window to see accurate color and tonal differences.
What you have compared here is the final jpg shown in C1 (and BB) and the raw-view in BB.
Maybe you should first compare the raw-view in C1 with the final jpg-view in C1 or the the final jpg-view in BB.
In addition: every raw software produces different results. Not in general but slight differences in colors and gradation.

The picture on the right is from BB as you mentioned, but it looks more or less the same as the raw prewiev in C1. I know that, because I compared them simultaneously side by side in the same monitor.

Anyway, I added another picture to the same webpage. This one has a raw prewiev and the converted jpg both in C1.

It seems to me that you are right, the prewiev just looks more saturated than the final jpg. In my opinion, that is a very akward feature for a "high end" raw software. In BB I did not have this kind of problem. Otherwise C1 is just perfect and I would like to go on with it.

    Thank you for your reply!

Sure, you have to get used to it. But the focus window shows the colors quite accurate (left: photoshop; right: C1):

On the other hand there is a good reason: C1 creates preview files. Scaled down they look too saturated, okay. But it makes the software fast! The previews are the reason that we can adjust directly and without any lag of adjustments or "pumping" pictures (as in many other softwares).
If you check the focus window everything should be fine...

By the way: maybe it's easier to push "print" on your keyboard and paste the screenshot in a new file in photoshop... 😉

    As you wish 🤭 😂
So now there is one more picture, this time -surprise, surprise- print screen.
Shouldn't the "destination" show what jpg will look like? Now it seems to be the other way around. (jpg is on top, raw is below) Cursor is not visible in print screen, but obviously it is pointed to this colourful hair in raw.

From now on I will try to get used to C1 and stop bothering you with my print screens 😉 You are absolutely right about C1 beeing fast. With BB it takes twice the time to process a picture and all you can do meanwhile is wait.

    Thanks again. Timo
